"What is still outstanding?"
Answered by opening the folder, opening the tracker, and comparing the two line by line.
Auditi vs Microsoft SharePoint
Your PBC list isn't in SharePoint. It's in the spreadsheet and the email chain beside it. Auditi brings requests, files, confirmations, messages and project status into a secure, branded workspace built for audit firms and loved by your clients.
Trusted by 500+ audit firms, including Baker Tilly, RSM and Crowe

Why firms use SharePoint
They use it because it is already there, already familiar, and already approved. So it becomes the place client documents land as well.
SharePoint comes with Microsoft 365. For a firm already licensing it, using it to exchange files with clients feels like a cost-free decision.
Teams know how to use SharePoint as a shared location for documents that need to remain available internally.
Existing Microsoft administration and security reviews can make SharePoint a familiar option for technology and procurement teams.
The solution
PBC requests, external confirmations, engagement tasks and client communication run through a single workspace your team and your clients share. One place to ask, one place to answer, one place to see how far along the engagement is. Keep SharePoint for internal documents. Use Auditi to request, receive, review and follow up on client evidence.
Request, track and receive every prepared-by-client document in one organized, branded workflow. Clients upload against clear requests, so teams always know what is in, what is missing and what still needs review.

Questions
It does not have to. Auditi is designed for the client-facing audit workflow: structured requests, evidence collection, communication, project management and shared engagement status. Your firm can export all the audit files and audit trail into SharePoint for internal document storage and archiving if it wants to.
A folder organizes files. Auditi organizes the request-and-response process around those files, including owners, deadlines, comments, versions, reminders and review status.
Microsoft tools can be configured and extended for many processes. The practical comparison is between designing, testing and maintaining a custom audit workflow and adopting a product already built around recurring audit requests and client participation.
Clients receive a focused workspace for the requests, tasks, messages and status that apply to them. They do not need access to your internal audit planning or workpaper system.
Auditi runs on ISO 27001-certified infrastructure, hosted in Germany with DATEV and in the United States on Microsoft Azure, with real-time threat monitoring and enterprise-grade firewalls. Redundant systems and automated backups support 99.99% uptime. Access is protected by SSO, two-factor authentication and detailed audit logs. Your firm retains full ownership of all client data, encrypted in transit and at rest. Auditi is trusted by 500+ audit firms, including Baker Tilly, RSM and Crowe.
Microsoft gradually turned off the creation of new SharePoint Alerts for all tenants from January 2026. From July 2026, SharePoint Alerts no longer work and existing alerts can no longer be extended. Microsoft points teams toward Power Automate or SharePoint Rules as replacements, adding another workflow to configure and maintain. Auditi’s request tracking and notifications are built in from the start, so there is nothing to migrate or replace down the line.
